Park and Facility Reservations
The City of Shasta Lake offers several options for reserving parks and facilities for gatherings, events, and organized activities. Whether you are planning a picnic, community event, or seasonal sports program, this page will guide you through the appropriate reservation process.
Please review the information below to determine which type of request applies to your activity. Explore our available parks HERE
Park reservations allow individuals or groups to reserve a specific facility within a park (such as a picnic area, band shell, ball field, or parking lot) or reserve exclusive use of an entire park.
Reservations are available for gatherings such as:
Birthday parties
Family reunions
Team celebrations
Small group events
Park reservations are granted on a first-requested, first-served basis. Requests should generally be submitted at least 10 days prior to the event, and requests for exclusive use of an entire park should be submitted at least 30 working days in advance.
The applicant must be 18 years of age or older and is responsible for cleanup, damages, and ensuring compliance with City rules during the reservation.

Some activities go beyond a simple park reservation and require a Special Event Permit. Special events typically involve larger attendance, vendors, road impacts, or other activities that require coordination with multiple City departments.
A Special Event Permit may be required if your event includes:
Large attendance or public participation
Vendors or food sales
Alcohol sales
Street closures or traffic impacts
Parades, festivals, or community celebrations
Tents, generators, inflatables, or special equipment
Security or emergency services planning
Special Event Applications must be submitted at least 30 days before the event and may require site maps, insurance documentation, and coordination with City departments.
